Privacy Policy
Our privacy commitment
EasyMDConvert is built around zero persistent file storage. Browser conversion paths keep document content on your device. Heavy-format conversions and native document exports send the selected content to a temporary server; public article URLs are also retrieved through that server. Document contents are not placed in a database or used to train AI models. We do not sell your document contents or create advertising profiles from them. This policy was updated on 29 October 2026.
Files, memory and temporary processing
Local files are read only after the size gate permits them, and supported text is processed in browser memory. Each server conversion uses its own separate temporary working folder. Its uploaded files, generated results and intermediate copies are deleted after completion, failure or timeout, and a regular cleanup removes abandoned folders. Scanned PDF pages can be prepared as images on the temporary server and then recognized locally in your browser. We do not retain a cloud copy or expose your document through a public download link.
Recent conversions in your tab
Recent output summaries include a local identifier, tool, filename, time, word and token estimates, a short preview and normalized Markdown. They are stored only in the current browser tab’s session storage. This history is not sent to a server or saved in a permanent account library. Use Wipe Session History to remove it immediately. Closing a tab normally ends its session, although browser recovery or session restoration may restore tab data; wipe sensitive history before leaving a shared device.
Service access and optional analytics
Your hosting provider necessarily receives ordinary connection information when serving the site. The conversion service uses connection addresses temporarily to limit request rates; it does not keep a document-content logging database. Ordinary hosting access logs may record connection and endpoint information. Document contents and extracted text are excluded from application analytics. Optional analytics remain off unless explicitly configured. Conversion event details are limited to the tool, direction, processing location, duration, status and error code; filenames, exact file sizes, and document text are excluded.
Google AdSense and DART cookies
Advertisements are disabled by default and no Google advertising script is loaded by this release. If Google AdSense is activated in a later release, Google and participating partners may use cookies, including DART or equivalent advertising identifiers, to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other sites. Required regional consent controls must be in place before personalized advertising is enabled. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings: Google Ads Settings. Browser cookie controls can also restrict third-party cookies.
Your choices and rights
Where applicable, GDPR rights include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Under India’s DPDP framework, applicable rights include access to information about personal data, correction and erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination. We process the document only as needed for the requested browser or temporary-server conversion; any optional consent-based processing must be separately disclosed. You may complain to the competent supervisory authority. We do not hold a central file history to retrieve or erase; you control your tab data directly.
Children, security and changes
Do not submit personal documents belonging to children or other people without appropriate authority. Avoid sending confidential documents in support requests. We sanitize previews, restrict executable markup, and apply response security headers, but no device or browser is immune to compromise. Policy changes will be dated here before any newly introduced processing takes effect. Use the contact page for privacy questions or rights requests, and provide only the minimum details needed to identify the issue.
